As someone with ADHD (combined subtype) and Autism, my experience has been one of navigating a world that doesn’t always align with how my mind works.
Professionally, I’ve had to be creative in finding strategies that work for me for my neurodiversity. These challenges have fostered a unique skill set, including resilience, adaptability, and a strong problem-solving. These strengths are displayed from my unique career journey. Starting out in football parts of my role involved me delivering digital products, I just saw this as part of my admin responsibilities. I did this without knowing it was an actual career path; this led to me leaving a very successful career in football at 31, to becoming a product manager.
ADHD & Autism have given me the ability to focus deeply, drive excellence in specific areas, and approach problems with a level of precision that others might overlook.
My story is one of embracing my true self, leveraging my strengths, and connecting with others who understand the value of diversity in all its forms. I hope to mentor others on ADP List by sharing how embracing differences can lead to success and fulfilment, while also offering practical advice on navigating neurodiversity in a way that highlights the strengths it can bring to one’s career and life.
