Join us in Celebrating Black Entrepreneurship in Our Community

In honor of Black History Month, the Excelsior University Center for Social Justice and Race & Ethnicity Rope Team are shining a light on Black entrepreneurship with a virtual panel discussion featuring local leaders, educators, and business owners. Join us for an insightful, online conversation about investing in dreams, overcoming challenges, and building community.
The panel will begin at 1:30 p.m. on February 17, 2026.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Tamika Goode-Otis, founder and CEO of KABOD Consulting Group LLC.
Panelists include Santarvis Brown, management and leadership faculty for Excelsior University’s School of Business; Marie Campell, owner and floral designer of Blooms by Marie; Starletta Smith, CEO of the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region; and Renel Turner, owner of Nelly’s Treats.
