Gift Basket Drive

How it works: Units create themed baskets through unit member item donations. A raffle is held for Excelsior staff to bid on the baskets. Funds raised will benefit the local community from charity sponsor requests. Previous Gift Basket raffles have raised $2,000-$3,000 a year for local charities.

Competition: This year we are adding a little friendly competition to the basket drive. The unit that has the most popular basket based on the number of tickets put in for bids will get to help spend some of the money earned through the basket drive by choosing an organization that matters to them for a directed donation! The winning unit will be provided a list of organizations within our service buckets and choose the one they would like to donate to. Not only will you help us bring in funds that benefit the community, but you will help us choose the impact!  The five buckets are:

  1. Health and Wellness
  2. Lifelong Education
  3. Diversity and Inclusion
  4. Veterans/Military
  5. Social and Economic Justice

Units should decide on a theme and communicate it to the Community Engagement Group via the survey link below. In order to prevent multiple baskets with the same theme, please complete the following survey by end of business Friday, June 21, 2024: https://forms.office.com/r/dnEq7YbNgh.
