The Center for Social Justice welcomes Robin H. Holmes-Sullivan, president of Lewis & Clark College, on Thursday, March 20 at 11 a.m. ET.
In her presentation, “Leading Beyond Limits: Overcoming Barriers and Owning Your Power and Resilience,” Holmes-Sullivan explores how individuals can shatter the invisible barriers that hold them back and step into their authentic leadership power. Drawing on examples of trailblazing leaders who defied the odds, the session offers practical strategies for overcoming obstacles and embracing resilience.
In a world that often imposes limitations based on race, gender, socio-economic status, and other societal factors, Holmes-Sullivan’s talk is a call to action for individuals to recognize their inherent potential and lead with power and conviction. Through this empowering message, attendees will be inspired to cultivate their leadership capabilities, challenge conventional limits, and confidently own their voice and power as agents of change.
About Robin Holmes-Sullivan, PhD
Robin Holmes-Sullivan is the 26th president of Lewis & Clark College, the first woman and person of color to serve in that role in the institution’s 156-year history. She began her tenure as president in July 2022 after serving as the college’s vice president for student life and dean of students for three years. Holmes-Sullivan has maintained a private clinical psychology and consulting practice for more than three decades. She consults on issues of diversity and multicultural organizational development for higher education institutions and private corporations as well as leadership development and mental health and wellness issues.
